Implementing and communicating changes that address age discrimination in the local government pension scheme (LGPS) will be ‘extremely challenging,' experts have warned.

The Government has committed to addressing the issue after the McCloud legal judgement deemed that the transitional protection offered to some public sector scheme members was unlawful because it discriminated on age.
