She was the supermodel of her day, but for more than 100 years mystery has surrounded the final resting place of Fanny Cornforth.

She was the supermodel of her day, but for more than 100 years mystery has surrounded the final resting place of Fanny Cornforth.

But thanks to the good folks at West Sussex CC's record office, we can reveal that Ms Cornforth, who was the muse of the Pre-Raphaelite painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti, was now buried in a common grave in Chichester Cemetery.
