Fears raised over inspection plans

Plans for new joint targeted area inspections (JTAI) for children’s services would ‘represent a significant increase in the inspection burden’ on local authorities, council chiefs have argued.

Local Government Association spokesman, Cllr David Simmonds, said the new level of joined up inspections suggested by Ofsted ‘merely add another layer'.
