Fewer than 100 homes acquired using a fund to support English councils obtain housing for those fleeing conflicts have been occupied, according to the latest figures.

The National Audit Office has said that, as of 8 August, 905 homes had been acquired thanks to the £500m Local Authority Housing Fund (LAHF), with just 93 occupied.
