Councils are less optimistic about coping with upcoming cuts than they were in dealing with reductions over the past six years, a report shows.

A report from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has found a number of councils are anticipating they will undertake a significant rethink of their approach to financial management in line with ‘potentially difficult' funding reductions coming in future years.
