Plans to take schools out of local authority control in Scotland could ‘expose them to great financial risk,' experts have warned.

In a submission to the Scottish Government, the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) claimed the move could leave 2,500 schools without proper support and skills to manage their own finances.
