Handing business rates control back to local authorities could be a huge financial blow to companies, an Institute of Public Finance report has revealed.

Building Communities: Business Rates and Local Government was commissioned by the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC), who fear the Lyons Inquiry into local government will recommend the re-localisation of business rates.
