A legal challenge of the ‘troublingly opaque’ Levelling Up Fund would not be needed if the Government introduced fiscal devolution, a think-tank boss has claimed.

A legal challenge of the ‘troublingly opaque' Levelling Up Fund would not be needed if the Government introduced fiscal devolution, a think-tank boss has claimed.

Earlier this week, campaign group the Good Law Project applied for permission for a judicial review against the allocation of the Levelling Up Fund, claiming the £4.8bn fund was skewed towards Conservative-voting areas.
