'Flexibility needed' to finance adult services

London Councils has called on the Government to incorporate regional variation into its plans to reform social care funding.

In a report published on 14 May, London's local government group supported the introduction of a cap to contribution costs, but warned any funding arrangements from central government would have to be flexible to ensure some councils were not left with a large funding gap.
