Council chiefs, health experts and emergency services bosses across Lancashire have joined forces in a bid to prepare for a possible flu pandemic.

Organised by Wigan MBC  and facilitated by Greater Manchester Health Protection Agency, the exercise was designed to test the borough's readiness and show how an outbreak could affect and impact on the day-to-day running of council, health and emergency services.
