One of London's most iconic – and often derided – roads is facing an uncertain future.

The Hammersmith flyover, labelled an ‘antique' by Hammersmith and Fulham LBC, could be replaced by a tunnel. London mayor, Boris Johnson, has asked Transport for London (TfL) to ‘consider long-term options for the area'.
