Devolution of powers must focus on cities if Britain is to improve its economic outlook, a think tank has warned the Treasury.

In a letter to chancellor George Osborne seen by The MJ, Centre for Cities called for devolution deals to be focussed on urban regions over rural areas owing to their ‘ever-growing importance' to national growth.
