Fracking in National Parks and other designated areas looks set to be virtually banned under new regulations.

Fracking in National Parks and other designated areas looks set to be virtually banned under new regulations, which have been announced today.

The Department of Communities and Local Government has issued new planning guidance regarding the exploration of unconventional oil and shale gas in National Parks, the Broads, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and World Heritage Sites.
