Freud vows to review housing benefit move

Welfare reform minister, Lord Freud, has vowed to review the Government's controversial housing benefit cap, following concerns it would force vulnerable families out of expensive areas and into deprived areas.

Lord Freud, a former adviser to the Labour Government, who joined the Conservatives as a peer, has promised the upper house an independent review looking at the impact of the benefit cuts on different sections of society.
