FT letter demands end of housing debt cap

Leading signatories join London Councils letter urging government to lift housing revenue cap.

Council chiefs, property developers, housing association bosses and policy experts have published a letter in today's Financial Times calling on government to lift the housing revenue cap.

The letter demands the scrapping of the cap on local authority housing debt was organised by umbrella group London Councils to coincide with today's House of Lords debate on the Growth and Infrastructure Bill.
