Government funding cuts could make it difficult for local areas to manage devolved funding effectively, the National Audit Office warns in a report published today.

The report, which looks at the first wave of city deals, claims some areas have already found it ‘challenging to devote sufficient resources' to implementing the fruits of devolution.
