Funding for health and social care is failing to keep pace with the rising number of elderly people, a report published today has found.

Funding for health and social care is failing to keep pace with the rising number of elderly people, a report published today has found.

Between 2005 and 2016 the number of people aged 65 or over in England increased by almost one-fifth or by 1.5m people with the biggest growth among the over 85s - up by 29%.
