Ministers should commit to regular local government funding resets ideally every three years to tie in with multi-year settlements, a report has urged. 

The Special Interest Group of Municipal Authorities' (SIGOMA) report published this week said the independent body it called for in the autumn to handle allocations of council funding  should oversee the formula review model.
