Funds tasked with providing pensions cost data

Council pension funds will have to supply their own cost data after the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) dropped plans for full transparency, trade union Unison has claimed.

Council pension funds will have to supply their own cost data after the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) dropped plans for full transparency, trade union Unison has claimed.

National officer for Unison, Colin Meech, said the DCLG had previously given an assurance that there would be 100% transparency of costs as the Government pushes through plans to pool the assets of 89 pension funds into six new British Wealth Funds.
