The UK needs to properly consider climate risks to avoid ‘catastrophic' incidents such as future flooding, delegates to The MJ's Future Forum North in Manchester have heard.

Karl Limbert, director of strategy at technical services provider Equans, told the gathering of chief executives and senior sector figures that despite the country having already suffering climate events, such as flash flooding, severe enough to ‘wipe out' public services, these incidents were not talked about as climate change.
