The Government needs to devolve more powers if it wants to boost the country's economic growth, a senior council chief executive has argued.

Speaking at The MJ's Future Forum North today, chief executive of Newcastle City Council, Pam Smith, said devolution was a prerequisite to the Government achieving its levelling up ambitions.
