Manchester City Council's incoming chief executive has warned of the potential ‘distraction' of pending local government reorganisation.

Speaking in the city at The MJ's Future Forum North, Tom Stannard said it would be ‘unfortunate' if by the end of this Parliament all that had been achieved was an argument between different tier of the sector.
