A chief executive whose council has repeatedly lost out bidding for levelling up funds has told how her authority has had to ‘do it ourselves'.

Speaking at The MJ's Future Forum, Dacorum BC chief executive, Claire Hamilton, said: ‘We have spent an inordinate amount of time and money on bids for levelling up and we have nothing to show for it.
