A game-changing approach to keeping our residents safe

Hammersmith and Fulham LBC’s law enforcement team is a key element in the borough’s approach to cutting crime and anti-social behaviour, says Sharon Lea.

In April 2021, Hammersmith and Fulham LBC launched its new law enforcement team. This unique 72-strong, council-funded operation was set up to compliment the work of the Met Police in reducing crime and anti-social behaviour.

Our law enforcement officers have quickly proved to be a critical part of our approach. They work alongside other council funded initiatives which include an innovative new gangs, violence and exploitation unit, Britain's densest CCTV network and a comprehensive strategy to tackle violence against women and girls.
