It was the best of times and the worst of times for a tale of two local authorities after it was revealed that the boundary between them runs straight through a playing field in Great Barr, Birmingham.

As bizarre as it sounds, one half of the playing field is the responsibility of Sandwell MBC and Walsall MBC maintains the other.
