EDF Energy and three local authorities in Somerset have signed a £100m deal to help mitigate the impact of the proposed nuclear station at Hinkley Point.

EDF Energy and three local authorities in Somerset have signed a £100m deal to help mitigate the impact of the proposed nuclear station at Hinkley Point.

The section 106 agreement between Somerset CC, West Somerset DC, Sedgemoor DC and the energy firm resolves the local authorities' main concerns relating to the application to build Britain's first nuclear power station for more than 20 years.
