£10bn financial package revealed for Scots councils

Scotland’s 32 local authorities will be given a total funding package worth more than £10.85bn in 2015/16 to ‘deliver services that enrich our nation’, deputy first minister and finance secretary John Swinney has announced.

Mr Swinney also announced that council tax would be frozen for an eighth consecutive year funded by a £70m grant from the Scottish Government.
