Call for £150m pot to help poor areas

Two third sector groups have called on chancellor George Osborne to create a £150m fund to support the 50 most deprived areas in England.

Two third sector groups have called on chancellor George Osborne to create a £150m fund to support the 50 most deprived areas in England.

The National Association for Voluntary and Community Action and Locality have jointly written to Mr Osborne, calling on him to set aside £3m for each of the communities, to help social enterprises and charities generate economic growth.
