Chief secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander, will announce that small businesses in four more of Scotland's cities will be able to bid for a share of a £40m cash pot for superfast broadband.

Glasgow, Inverness, Stirling and Dundee will now be able to join Edinburgh, Perth and Aberdeen and 19 other UK cities in bidding for the £40m voucher scheme, which was announced in the Autumn Statement in December.

Under the scheme, small businesses and social enterprises will be eligible for up to £3,000 to help access superfast broadband.
