A £50m government scheme to help with repairs following the floods in Cumbria and Lancashire CCs will be administered by the local authorities.

Standing in for David Cameron at prime minister's questions today, chancellor George Osborne pledged the fund to get aid to businesses and homeowners as quickly as possible.
