The coalition's flagship Work Programme is failing to help disadvantaged jobseekers with long-term illness or disabilities, a group of MPs has reported.

Work Programme outcome statistics show a mere 5.3% of Employment and Support Allowance participants found work in year two of the scheme, compared with a target figure nearly three times higher of 16.5%.
