£60m airport sale gives Devon a lift

Devon CC has sold Exeter International Airport for £60m to Regional and City Airports (RCA).

Devon CC has sold Exeter International Airport for £60m to Regional and City Airports (RCA).
The county council will retain a ‘golden share' as well as a non-executive seat on the board of the airport.
Council leader, Brian Greenslade, said RCA was the unanimous choice of the all-party steering group.

The bid submitted by RCA was outstanding and we are confident that the future success of Exeter International Airport for the people of the county and the Devon economy will be assured,' he said.
