Getting public infrastructure back on track

We have reached a critical juncture for public infrastructure, says Mark Robinson. Accelerated procurement through public -private collaboration is what’s needed, he believes.

The UK's infrastructure and utility services have reached breaking point. As we look towards a General Election in July, at present no potential future government has the answer to 40 years of underfunding for the public estate.

Driving economic growth, redressing regional disparities, and powering the green transition are all set to play pivotal roles in the upcoming election. From transport links to energy grids, it is infrastructure that underpins these key priorities and that therefore requires critical attention.
