Glasgow beats off rivals to become city of the future

Glasgow City Council has won the Government's £24m Future Cities competition, after beating off competition from 30 other cities.

Glasgow City Council has won the Government's £24m Future Cities competition, after beating off competition from 30 other cities from around the country.

The money will allow the local authority to develop a ‘city dashboard', which will help monitor traffic lights, CCTV systems and hospital waiting times.
