Glasgow City Council’s departing chief executive has called for the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) to be taken out of the local government funding process.

Glasgow City Council's departing chief executive has called for the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) to be taken out of the local government funding process.

George Black told the Glasgow Herald there was a ‘mismatch' between the ambitions and the reality of local government funding, and called for an independent body to be formed to advise the Government on where resources should go.
