Figures obtained under Freedom of Information laws have revealed Glasgow City and Renfrewshire councils have made the highest redundancy payments among Scottish authorities over the past two years.

Data released to the Press Association revealed Scotland's councils spent a total of £65m on staff due to exit their town halls between 2009 and 2011.
