Glasgow denies £500m government loan reports

The leader of Glasgow City Council has blasted claims it plans to ask the Government for a £500m loan to meet its equal pay bill.

The leader of Glasgow City Council has blasted claims it plans to ask the Government for a £500m loan to meet its equal pay bill.

Reports in the national press today claimed the council would ask the Government for financial assistance to meet its obligations to employees.
