Glasgow gives green light to switch IT to Canadian firm

Glasgow city councillors have given the green light to draw up plans to switch IT services to the Canadian company CGI when the current arrangement with Serco ends.

Glasgow city councillors have given the green light to draw up plans to switch IT services to the Canadian company CGI when the current arrangement with Serco ends.

The council's executive committee voted last week to spend up to £750,000 drawing up a detailed business case for a possible move, which will need to be in place when the local authority's joint venture with Serco finishes in March
