Glasgow's helping hand for veterans

Glasgow City Council,is launching a scheme to help unemployed former armed forces personnel find a job. Under its veterans employment programme, the council plans to pay a wage subsidy of up to £6,500 a year to firms taking on jobless ex-service men and women aged between 25 and 49.
