Norfolk CC's independent standards person, Stephen Revell, has refuted accusations made by former local government minister Bob Neill back in January that the authority had 'gold-plated' disciplinary proceedings.

'Gold plating was not the case in Norfolk – the county council followed the same route as other authorities,' Mr Revell told The MJ.
