Golf boosts Wirral economy by £76m

The Open golf championship at the Royal Liverpool last summer boosted the local economy by more than £75m, according to a new report presented to Wirral MBC.

The Open golf championship at the Royal Liverpool last summer boosted the local economy by more than £75m, according to a new report presented to Wirral MBC.

According to research by the sport's governing body, The R&A, the golfing event was worth £76.3m to the regional economy.
