Gove names two new commissioners to monitor academies

Education secretary Michael Gove has named his final two regional commissioners.

Education secretary Michael Gove has named his final two regional commissioners, who can seize control of failing academies or free schools.

Mr Gove has appointed Jennifer Bexon-Smith as regional schools commissioner for the East Midlands and Humber and Janet Renou as commissioner for the North of England.
