Gove slams mission boards chair appointments

Former levelling up secretary Michael Gove has hit out at the decision to allow the chairs of the Government's mission boards to come from within the department responsible for delivery.

Speaking at the Institute for Government's (IfG) public services conference today, Gove was asked what lessons he would draw from his work on the levelling up agenda to inform Labour's outcomes-based missions.
