The Government will announce new plans today to curb binge drinking and improve public health with a minimum price for alcohol.

The Government will announce new plans today to curb binge drinking and improve public health with a minimum price for alcohol.

Ministers are proposing a minimum price of 40p per unit in England and Wales in a bid to halt the rising consumption of cheap lager and cider.
