The Better Care Fund's (BCF) aim to shift services towards prevention and early intervention has been put at risk by the Government's proposed changes, a deputy chairman of the Local Government Association (LGA) has warned.

Directly-elected mayor of Watford, Dorothy Thornhill, said she was concerned the suggested new rules announced jointly by the Department of Communities and Local Government and Department of Health earlier this month would mean a continuation of the status quo the fund was trying to transform.
