The Government has been forced to deny its test and trace programme breaches data protection laws as health secretary was expected to start handing more data to local authorities.

Mr Hancock was expected to announce plans to give council more data on the people who have tested positive for coronavirus amid rising fears that efforts to trace outbreaks are being hampered by the lack of information.
