Councils have criticised the Department for Communities and Local Government’s (DCLG) standard model for calculating their housing need as ‘too simplistic’.

Councils have criticised the Department for Communities and Local Government's (DCLG) standard model for calculating their housing need as ‘too simplistic'.

Proposals published by the DCLG in September included an ‘indicative assessment' for each local authority.
