Central government needs to invest in social care and primary health in a bid to take the pressure off hospitals, the president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services has said.
The lastest NHS figures revealed an 18.2% drop in Delayed Transfer of Care (DToC) attributable to adult social care from April 2018 to April 2019. However, Julie Ogley said hospitals were still struggling due to ‘more people coming through the front door and staying longer'.
