Whitehall will push ahead with plans to implement 75% business rates retention in 2020/21 despite calls for a one-year delay, The MJ understands.

Whitehall will push ahead with plans to implement 75% business rates retention in 2020/21 despite calls for a one-year delay, The MJ understands.

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) is understood to have heard the delay calls from the District Councils' Network, but is believed to still feel the right thing to do is to continue with its original timetable.
