The Government should ‘go back to the drawing board' to redesign a visa system that encourages overseas workers to fill the 110,000 social care vacancies, a report today has urged.

In a study, the Nuffield Trust, The Health Foundation and The King's Fund said the proposed post-Brexit £30,000 minimum salary threshold for immigrant staff excluded 90% of care workers even though 18% of the current care workforce were born outside the UK.
